I don't think that would be effective, as the intentional segregation happens from both sides. If I call out a shitty dude for being shitty, that person either knocks it the fuck off if they're redeemable, or both of us stop hanging out together. Shitty people don't like getting called out

The discourse about men needing to hold other men to account is going around again. While that needs to happen, I think that decent men tend to cut off shitty men like that from their lives, & that's a big reason why shitty men are not held to account. I don't know what to do about this

I feel like we don’t talk about millennials in particular, hitting our 40s - in earlier generations many of us would be reaching the peak of our careers, but because of disaster after disaster, locust after locust eating our industries, many of us are on our 3rd or 4th fresh start.

Btw, I found common ground with some conservatives recently (I have to stay professional toward the people I meet through work). The topic? Flock. NO ONE wants this technology in their neighborhood or city, regardless of party affiliation

The media switched from hiring the best local reporters to recruiting from among their interns decades ago. So, we lost the voices of the poor and middle class in favor of kids who can afford to live in NYC or DC for two years with no pay. And these rich kids have no fight in them.

I often hear that access to powerful people is necessary for newsrooms to do their jobs, & I just find that to be unconvincing given how the best stories over the past 2 decades have often been written by outlets lacking such access (The Intercept, ProPublica, etc).

Look, this is bad. Yes. But the Trump admin sent six (6) people to Maricopa and Pima. Where, by my count, there are 404 polling places, spread across 18,000 square miles (each county is ~9k sq mi). What they want is the FEAR to discourage the voting they can't actually prevent.
