That’s my favorite version of Pool of Radiance! It is a more simplistic version, but I enjoy not worrying about arrows or tons of worthless loot after every small battle.

This may be controversial but I think when someone asks a well meaning but dumb question about (games) preservation or history they shouldn’t be chastised for their question being dumb. The worst part of this ‘field’ is the rampant elitism and turning people away for being curious

The problem is that on the grand scheme of things, the AI projects do taint the scene and makes people practically want to avoid them. Because a poser who just wants clout can come in and take all the tools made by the community and ask the AI and shit out dogshit, unmaintainable broken code.

I still see a lot of confusion about what decompilation, recompilation and ports are and what level of effort is involved in each type of project. It's important that people understand the difference, as recompilation took a drastically different meaning that when it was originally introduced.

When I first watched a friend play Resident Evil and that first zombie encounter cutscene happened. That first encounter hit a nerve.
Image of the first zombie encounter from Resident Evil. Its blue eyes staring back with red all over its mouth. The rest of its head is hairless and skull like, with chalky pasty "flesh."The illustration by, Stephen Gammell, of a skull with blue eyes, red all over its nose and mouth. The skull is sticking out of the ground, its neck rooted in it like a tree.Leonardo DiCaprio as Rick Dalton from Once Upon A Time in Hollywood pointing at maybe a TV screen. My haul of LEGO game developer bricks that I was awarded for working on the games. TT Fusion and TT Games staff receive one brick for helping make the game. We were allowed to choose the mini-figure within the acryllic brick from a selection of 4 to 5 characters related to the game. Yes, they stack!

Just a warning for everyone, since Video Game Slopterica keeps being the most irresponsible YouTube Channel to exist these days. The Banjo-Tooie Recompilation is NOT associated with us. It is entirely AI-generated. Both Zelda: Recompiled and Banjo: Recompiled have very clear No AI stances.

I'll leave you with the classic Master Sword shot. These images were taken from The Super Famicom 1991-05-31 (Thanks Hubz!) and Hippon Super 1991-06. These same images are in Famimaga and Famitsu from that time frame. SNES Central's screenshots appear to be based on Famimaga 1991-05-24.

I love these screenshots. Especially the diamond-shaped swords the soldiers are holding. One magazine with the screenshots also had an article about Spaceworld 1991. It's possible they are related, but it could also be a coincidence.

Kakariko Village looking odd and Death Mountain. I checked magazines from the Super Famicom's release date to Zelda A Link to the Past's release date, and it seems like there was only one set of pre-release screenshots released. They came out around May 1991.
