I have no issues with Gillis and I get he’s probably a relatively easy host since he’s a comedian and was attached to the show, but it’s weird to me that he’s hosted so often.

Most people are incentivized towards competence as a means of improving their material conditions, but the wealthy aren't. Their incentives are entirely emotional: status preservation, positional dominance, alleviating boredom, etc. It's no surprise they typically regress into spoiled children.

Yes I’ve noticed female colleagues will use Mrs even when still fairly young and single. It’s a boundaries thing. An easy shorthand to remind students we’re friendly but not friends.
