A barbershop in my neighbourhood has changed owners, and you can tell that it is now a "man's barber, for men" because all the decor and its sign is done in an urban, graffiti style, but without any color; and the barber's pole is also black and white.

As modes of locomotion, "scurry", "skitter", "scutter" and "scuttle" all describe essentially identical activities, but they connote very different things about the creature so acting. I cannot articulate what that difference is, but I'll know at a glance whether a writer has picked the wrong one.

Sorry, I mean consistently across the gate's various signals, not consistent with each other. Nothing forces the choice of which way around you assign 0 and 1 to low and high, but an AND gate forces that when both inputs are the same, the output matches regardless of which choice you make

They don't have to agree on the value, but if they're comparing the voltages coming out of the gate (as opposed to blackbox lightbulbs) but if they assign values to voltages consistently they should agree on the conditions that make the output match the input voltage, regardless of what value those
