Omfg. Study after study has shown that the reason 12-step groups work is because of the human connection. Literally community is the treatment for addiction. This “AI AA” bullshit is going to kill people who would otherwise have sought help where it actually exists: IN MEETINGS.

NYT has pushed fuckery throughout history
From War Against All Puerto Ricans:

This "enlightened civilization" held some firm views about their neighbors.
On February 22, 1899, the New York Times ran an article headlined "Ameri-canizing Puerto Rico," describing Puerto Ricans as "uneducated, simple-minded and harmless people who are only interested in wine, women, music and dancing."

I wanted to help people understand a year in music and wonder, in a way that helped us, both individually and collectively, live our next year in music more curiously. Spotify wanted to generate click traffic for half a day.
While some users called it a flop, a Spotify spokesperson told Business Insider it was the biggest year yet for the music streaming app's year-end round-up.

"In the first 12 hours this year's Wrapped was the biggest we've seen, up over 26% compared to day one in 2023," the Spotify spokesperson told BI.

Three tests of your system's fundamental openness: Can its users do things that fit the conceptual model but you didn't specifically provide? Can you easily add features that naturally extend the conceptual model? Do the uses multiply faster than the features?
