This news is important because all the fucks out there actively attempting to wreck the world want you to think that the work is hopeless and just mitigating the worst case scenario. It's not. Fucking keep going.

Not just Germany, by the posts incredibly broad definition. Of course, de-Ba'athification, which went much further than de-Nazification did, was such a famous success.

DoorDash spent $1.4M trying to stop Zohran Mamdani from becoming mayor. This week's historic $131.5M enforcement action against DoorDash for underpaying NYC delivery workers shows why. Yet another reminder that the only thing that can beat organized money is organized people.

In a wage-theft settlement, DoorDash now has to pay its workers around 100 times what it spent trying to beat Zohran Mam

On Germany: something I can’t stand is the idea that the Left and the Green parties haven’t offed arguments about the cost of living. They have! It’s just that they haven’t offered *hate*. The AfD have offered hate, that is their most passionate offering, that is primarily why they are thriving.

Turns out that if you are an old lady with a banner supporting Palestine, the government arrests you on charges of terrorism. If you are a masked white male thug bringing a national port to a standstill, the government does absolutely nothing, and the media covers it like some lads on a day out.

I can't believe the amount of recent history revisionism in the UK. Response to Polish immigration was so severe that it successfully led to Brexit. BREXIT. And tanked British economy. This happened last decade, you can just Google it.
Post on X Remember in early 2000s thousands of Polish men immigrated over to UK cause their economy crashed but no one said fuck all cause they came to work, minded their own buisness an left our kids alone.....

Response Most Poles who emigrated to the UK in the early 2000s remember something completely different and photo of xenophobic graffiti

The TERF/anti-antiracism nexus in the UK commentariat: Kathleen Stock pre death: doing a video a day for The Times (plus more elsewhere) about how scandalous it all was. Stock post death: thoughts and prayers so much to reflect on I am very sensitive

I'm one of the people who commented on Arday plagiarism situation when it broke. I understand the haste to angrily or defensively blame others for this outcome, and I see that already happening: critics of Arday blaming Cambridge and his publishers for creating the situation;
Arday supporters blaming those in media like me for reporting the unfolding scandal so relentlessly. I don't feel like pronouncing on any of this so soon after the news; it seems to me nothing is clear when emotion runs so high.
Perhaps the inquest will help clarify. I'm deeply sorry that it ended this way, I pray for him, his friends and family, and there is much to reflect on all round.Youtube thumbnails from Times radio: “it’s racism to even question this and that’s the problem in a nutshell.

So much for Reform's usual argument about "what about British homeless and veterans who need help". Burnham announces a plan to try and do that and Farage somehow still manages to make it about people seeking asylum.

You can literally go on a domestic abuser's podcast - like Graham Linehan did with Joey Barton - and the UK press will still call you a "women's rights campaigner" if you are perceived to belong to the "gender critical" movement. It's Orwellian.

This goes into fine detail about precisely which outlets led the charge. It wasn't just The Times and the Telegraph, but also the Guardian and the Independent, who were far more vocal than The Sun, Express, or even GB News. Worth bearing in mind when the "Public Interest" violins start up

Whatever the truth of Arday, it was clear that a section of the establishment resentful of black people in high places saw Arday’s story as a vehicle for them to unleash their fury disguised as legitimate concern, RELENTLESSLY. Arday’s castigation was excessive in every way. And now he’s dead.

No, that is not the alternative The alternative was treating like a normal news story, and not a trial by media - one that was so clearly turbocharged by Arday’s ethnic and social background and the growing resentment in the establishment in the UK of having more black people in high places
