One thing about my approach to being an indie author is that my stories are just… there. If someone discovers 1, they can find another 20+ to see if they enjoy further, and also read many more on my site. Hell, you can get my whole collection on Kindle for around £70. My point is:

The genre I write isn’t appealing to traditional publishers, especially my style, and I was convinced I wasn’t good enough to be picked up by them or agents anyway. I prefer being indie though as it offers more control over telling my stories the way I want to tell them.
