#HorrorWriteresChat A huge part - It is almost impossible for me to write without music of some sort. eg a lot of calmer chapters in my book are written while I listen to The Smell Of Mushroom (Stardew Valley), & parts with The Cat often involve 13 Angels Standing Guard 'Round the Side of Your Bed

#HorrorWritersChat I often listen to music while I'm writing, and commonly imagine what songs would go with specific scenes if my works were ever adapted, but I don't typically incorporate music into my works themselves. Maybe a generic mention of "this type of music was playing" to set the scene.

#HorrorWritersChat Music is huge in my work. My stories have soundtracks. Just referencing a song can evoke so much feeling in the reader. It helps to set the scene, but he tone, and ground everything in a recognizable reality—before I start turning that reality on its ear.

I kind of already did this one, #HorrorWritersChat. The plot is 'watch this person slowly fall in love with the thing that hollowed out the love of their life and took their place'. It was not 'based' on anything, specifically, but the album 'Sundowning' by Sleep Token certainly led it places.
