PSA: The latest NVIDIA App update adds a Default-ON option that allows AI Agents to control the app... Might want to turn it off.. Even aside from being lame AI features, that feels like making security even worse by defaulting it ON.

It’s so laughably naive for anyone to say genAI can be used “ethically“. The cat is already out of the bag, the models are already trained on stolen work. Even if you could build viable models on only rights-free work there would still be the issue of energy use, inaccurate output, etc. Be for real.

Some people might not be aware, but it is entirely possible that without Dolly Parton we wouldn’t have had a COVID vaccine. She partly funded Moderna’s research and gave the largest individual contribution to make it all happen. Just gives you an idea of the kind of person she was.

I knew about the AI translations, it was literally mentioned on their site (their Notice section had something about it). But the other one kind of gives me the ick. Webtoon is known for having stories that feel recycled, that feels like a new low.

I got into webcomics through websites before going to Webtoon. Making webcomics much more corporate and less indie removes the appeal for me. I still want to support human artists, but more & more I see so many cool projects go under the radar because of corporates. Support Indie creators & cites
