MA has 9 statewide ballot questions this year. Be an informed voter! #mapoli www.progressivemass.com/2026ballot/
This November, Massachusetts will see *9* statewide ballot questions, a historic number. But we’ve got you covered.

✅VOTE YES ON 1 to expand the public records law to cover the Governor and the Legislature. We’re the only state in the country that doesn’t do that already. Let the sunlight in.

✅VOTE YES ON 2 to enable public defenders to collectively bargain. Every worker deserves to have a union, and public defenders, who are often overworked and underpaid, should be no exception.

❌VOTE NO ON 3 to prevent private equity billionaires from rigging our election system in their favor. Top-two primaries empower corporate PACs and self-funders, disadvantage grassroots candidates, and turn MAGA voters into election kingmakers.

✅VOTE YES ON 4 to enable voters to register to vote or update their registration on Election Day. No eligible voter should be turned away due to a clerical error, and this reform is one of the most proven ways to increase voter turnout.

❌VOTE NO ON 5 to protect our state’s ability to invest in health care, transportation, and public education. The rich would get millions in tax rebates, while the rest of us suffer from underfunded public services.

⚪VOTE how you want on 6. Question 6 fell shy of our endorsement threshold: our members valued land and water conservation, but were worried about the dedication of existing funds as opposed to new ones.

✅VOTE YES on 7 to enable more starter homes across the Commonwealth. We have a housing crisis, and large lot size requirements mean fewer homes are able to be built.

❌VOTE NO on 8 to protect our state’s cannabis laws. We said NO to the war on drugs back in 2016, and we shouldn’t turn back time and destroy local economies.

✅VOTE YES ON 9 to protect our state’s landmark gun safety law, which cracked down on ghost guns, banned machine gun conversion devices, and strengthened gun violence data collection.

I already knew that Gov. Healey's proposal to roll back the gas tax was bad policy, but then I learned she wants to make up the difference with FAIR SHARE money (aka: the millionaires' tax), and NO. That's money for schools and for transportation, not to make up for terrible national foreign policy!

Ah, so just stealing $120m from schools and transit riders to.... shore up her right flank during the last two months of the campaign? "She said it wouldn't impact any existing transportation projects. She said it would cost about $120 million, which would come from surplus fair share tax revenue."

Classic.
Murphy is calling for a hearing into whether the motorist and the scooter driver were confused by the new "lane" markings bicycling advocates put down last month and to press for answers as to why city workers had yet to remove the tape. [HIGHLIGHTED] The Globe, however, reports the mayor's office says the crash was caused by the driver running a red light, not the duct tape.

Of particular note for this story: in 2024, @MassDOT widened the roadway near the scene of this homicide. In the 2 years since that project's completion, the number of crashes on Damon Road was nearly double what it was in the two years before the widening project:
A bar chart labeled "crashes on Northampton's Damon Road before and after MassDOT's Damon Road widening project, according to MassDOT's IMPACT database." The chart shows two columns: to the left, a much shorter column for "pre-construction, 7/1/2017 - 9/1/2019", with 70 non-injury crashes and a smaller red section representing 16 injury-causing crashes for a total of 86. To the left is a much taller column labelled "post-construction, 7/1/2024 - 9/1/2026" with 118 non-injury crashes and 30 injury crashes for a total of 148.

Embarrassing to call yourself a leader and be giving quotes like this. You’re not fucking new around here, you know there are always going to be some people who don’t like change, and you’ve decided that it’s better not to upset people than to try to solve any of this city’s problems
"I personally am not bothered by density or height, but I'm not here to impose my aesthetic vision on a neighborhood or on the city," Wilson said. "We were clear all along that if the community supported this, we would support it."
