Risk assessments are the meat and potatoes of the parade commission that relies heavily on police engagement and submission. This isn’t just any march and this isn’t just any location. This decision can’t be understood in a vacuum. It is mind blowing.

off to my third trip to WINZ to provide disability allowance documentation. Each time i provide all they ask, each time i receive a letter saying 'we need X as well' all those extras could be asked for with the first set of docs but no. I wonder is this a strategy at WINZ or an offshoot of ai?

Same country. Very different disability rates. Why? The answer is likely related to the way disability data is collected. In our latest Disability Policy Insights, we unpack why data harmonization matters for better, more comparable disability data. Full brief: inclusive-policy.org/blog/isabili...

Drumcree is being portrayed, where there is any rights analysis at all, as a straight clash between Art 8 and Art 11. This is problematic, as it doesn't recognise the specific protest rights of the Garvaghy Road residents (as the CAJ and FIDH highlight here): www.fidh.org/en/region/eu...

We're continuing to report on sports betting apps, and we need your help. ProPublica is looking for at least 250 people who use DraftKings and FanDuel to share their data with us and help us understand how the apps respond to user behavior. ➡️ How to help: projects.propublica.org/sports-betti...
A neon green tracker shows that ProPublica has received 28 people's sports betting data, just over 10% of the way towards its goal of 250. Text below reads: If you’re one of millions of Americans who have placed an online bet on a sporting event, you know how quickly you can go from celebrating your wins to feeling like the odds are stacked against you.

ProPublica is trying to understand how sports betting apps incentivize users to keep playing and when they warn users to pump the brakes. To do that, we need your help: We’re aiming for at least 250 people to upload their gambling history from apps like FanDuel and DraftKings. We’re not quite there yet, so if you’ve used these apps, you can help our journalists. If you’ve worked in the industry, you can also help us by answering a few questions. Also on a point of "lawful": The date for the parade has passed. They now need to re-apply to reschedule it. They can try and pursue whatever legal actions they want over yesterday's being blocked but it's monday now and if they want to march again "lawfully" they need to submit an 11/1 form.
