Just to say what complete scumbags the FAI and Micheál Martin are for putting Irish players in this position.
Tweet from Daniel Lambert, September 26th: Hearing from several sources around Ireland hotel that agents are telling players you must play our you'll never play for a US owned team in the UK.

How grim and predictable from faceless agents who profit in the background.

Context to Gavin Bazunu’s position: a matchday squad of 23 must be submitted to UEFA before midnight tonight, and *must* include three goalkeepers. Were he to simply refuse to play, the FAI would only be able to submit a squad if they (farcically) redesignated an outfielder as a goalkeeper.

Thank you Gavin - this is so not fair on these players to be dealing with this shit. FAI making their usual mess of things.

Here's today's column on the astonishing, ongoing mistreatment of people with #ME/CFS. Please spread it far and wide: the only thing which can break the media's wall of indifference is seeing an article about the issue go viral. Thank you. 1/2 www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...

Abandoned, dismissed and gaslighted: there is no excuse for the way ME sufferers have been betrayed | George Monbiot
Changes in guidance and science seem to have little impact on millions of devastated lives. It’s a social crisis playing out behind closed doors, says Guardian columnist George Monbiot

Twelve children were among the 21 people killed when an apartment building collapsed due to damage sustained in earlier Israeli strikes. The six-storey building, which had four apartments per floor, crumbled overnight onto nearby homes and tents in the Tal al-Hawa area of Gaza City. jrnl.ie/7164815

The male GAA codes are built on the unseen work of women sacrificing their own free time to do the work of looking after children & elderly relatives that men who spend 3 nights training,2 nights at the gym, plus weekends at matches are consciously not doing. It thrives at the expense of women.

Watched a woman try to leave her suitcase AGAINST a rollator placed in the wheelchair area on a train. And she was going to move the rollator to get her case comfortably positioned. She even had THE NECK to ask the owner if she could move the rollator.

I'm sure she got advice on her image, on how it might be better to reject her LGBTQ audience. She didn't. She knew what it was to be powerless & poor & she didn't want *anyone* to live that way. A lesson for people w aspirations to public life: Hurting others doesn't have to be part of the equation.
