And just a reminder for attorneys and legal helpers: If your client's ICE plane is in the air, habeas still applies until that plane lands! Get your filing in before then, get the flight record from Habeas Flight Watch, and ICE has to bring them back.

Offer them water. Ask if they need something with sugar but ALSO ask if they need something with salt. Electrolytes like LMNT or Liquid IV are very helpful. Don’t try to get them to stand. Not that it's great to just bail on relationships. But looking back with adult eyes, those decades seem like a threshold for women deciding not to stay in bad situations when larger society and even their own families still expected them to keep up appearances.
