The bad news is that the second attempt at making the fermented pepper sauce failed - the fermentation was okay, after I switched to my familiar method, but it refused to purée. The good news is that the liquid drained off the bits makes a decent Tabasco. www.theguardian.com/food/2026/au...

Having just started teaching new undergraduates at uni, I think we're missing a key issue in the debate about AI: these kids do not know how *not* to use AI, full stop. We assume they are 'digital natives' but they are not and a Google Scholar search is as alien to them as an archival card-index.
