Hyperlink text should make sense when read out of context. Screen reader users can navigate from link to link, and can listen to links in a list. When navigating this way, only the link is read. So "click here" or "read more" won't make sense.

In Fighting for Every Black Child, Did I Betray My Own? (Gift Article)
A decade ago, I made a decision about my daughter’s education that I hoped would challenge New York City’s separate and unequal school system. Now 16, she thinks I made the wrong choice.

Again: "Tilly Norwood" is not a person; it is a shoddy, and also pretty gross puppet. Stop referring to it as "she," and start asking whether there might be something a bit off about wanting to promote a sexualized but also childlike "actor" that can never tell its creators or users "no."

Imma say it again. It's not the AI tech that's doing this. Humans are doing this. The humans that tell the ai explicitly to behave the way it does. And the humans who agree to help them do it, even when they know they are harming themselves as well.

So many kids this year mentioned how they liked that Summer Reading gave them an excuse to make time to read. They lost the habit of reading for fun like they did as kids and they want to gain it back. Adults need to be better at facilitating that rather than crushing it.

One of the more insidious phrasings I've seen with the Dems/trans rights discourse lately is the idea that trans people are being greedy and demanding a "maximalist" approach to trans rights. No, you cannot call the state of rights American trans people had as recently as 2023 "maximalist," sorry.

When disabled people oppose Assisted Dying, it’s almost never from a religious point of view. It’s not because we’re anti-choice or that we want to force people to suffer. We oppose it because society devalues disabled lives and uses these programs in an unethical manner. They become eugenics. 🧵

Long COVID can affect far more than just energy levels. Symptoms may involve the brain, heart, lungs, immune system, digestion, sleep, senses, mood and other parts of the body, and can persist long after the initial infection. Reducing your risk of COVID also reduces your risk of Long COVID.
Graphic from the World Health Network (whn.global). Large headline: “Long COVID can affect nearly every part of the body.” Supporting text: “Symptoms can involve the brain, heart, lungs, immune system, digestion, sleep, senses, mood, reproductive health and more.” A teal box at the bottom reads: “Avoid Long COVID by avoiding COVID.”
