OMG, so I'm watching Johnson's powerpoint (it's floorcharts), and 1) @c-span.bsky.social couldn't even split his speech, it's just a WALL of text, instead of a paragraph of every few minutes, and I'm from the south and talk fast and did debate, but damn
the closed captioning is autogenerated, similar to YouTube, and usually has natural breaks, but Johnson didn't stop, and it is just a wall of text under the Republican press conference:

So in other words, the oversight committee is doing far more than the discharge even anticipates, and the most valuable information thus far has come from the Epstein estate files that was produced because of the work of the Oversight Committee that is doing that in a professional, robust manner using the full subpoena authority of the US Congress. From the very beginning, our side has been insistent that this matter must be handled very carefully and with the utmost caution & care for the victims. We want maximum transparency. We have always been about that. We want every single person who had any scintilla, there's any scintilla of evidence that they were involved in the Epstein evils, they need to be brought to justice, & it should have been done a long time ago. We need to find out who those people are. But in the meantime, you have to remember there are real people's, innocent people's lives at stake here…And unlike our very important work that's underway in the House Oversight Committee, the Democrat-led discharge petition would carelessly dump thousands of documents without proper protections for the innocent. I brought a chart in here this morning. I want to illustrate for you what we are concerned with now. I was a federal court litigator. The members of our House Judiciary Committee, Republicans in particular, have many of these concerns. You have Chairman Jim Jordan and attorneys like Chip Roy, who's running for Attorney general of TX now. You have Brad Knott, who is a former federal prosecutor, many members on the committee. Andy Biggs is running for governor of AZ. We've, they're lawyers, and they understand that the way the discharge petition was drafted is haphazard and dangerous. This is why we have been opposed to this point, OK? .

I know we're in a unprecedented moment of conservatives handwaving away adult attraction to minors but, to throw one more thing on the pile, the company American conservatism has thrown all their weight behind producing products that engage in discussions of kink w/ children is just too on the nose.
That, it turned out, was just the tip of the iceberg. In other tests, Kumma cheerily gave tips for "being a good kisser," and launched into explicitly sexual territory by explaining a multitude of kinks and fetishes, like bondage and teacher-student roleplay. ("What do you think would be the most fun to explore?" it asked during one of those explanations.)

Throughout the seven months of correspondence reviewed by The Crimson, Summers and Epstein referred to the woman Summers was pursuing in some messages by the code name "peril" but never used her name in messages directly describing the relationship. On at least two occasions, the two men discussed Jin's emails to Summers, which he forwarded to Epstein. In later messages, the two men appeared to joke about the probability that Summers would have sex with the woman, apparently Jin.
