It's fine to negotiate for but they don't have to agree. I know people who've done it repeatedly to great satisfaction and some who've been told off. 🤷 *Some* particularly nice landlords will take the price of an appliance (or at least the appliance they would have bought) off your months rent

North isn't left per se; up is North on the game map, but the geography of the game's region is rotated so that West in the fictional geography corresponds to North in the real world geography it's based on. I think they just did *that* so that the world map would have a nice landscape orientation
