Reading The Wicked and the Warped

"Now Kiss" Shibu Inu meme where an orange Shibu Inu looms over two small plastic Shibu Inus, its paws nudging them towards each other in a manner similar to a child making two toys kiss. The toy dog on the left's head has been replaced by the badly-cropped head of Orikan the Diviner from the cover of 'The Wicked and the Warped', a Warhammer 40k book. The toy dog on the right's head has been replaced by the badly-cropped head of Trazyn the Infinite from the same book cover. The book is about many things, but one of the things it is about is Trazyn and Orikan bickering like an elderly divorced couple who both secretly want to get remarried, but want it to be the other's idea. It's not just me saying this, another character in the novel jokes that they are a divorced couple. Also Trazyn and Orikan are two giant metal skeletons because besides being a bickering couple who should just kiss, they are also Necrons, a faction of soulless metal automata. Being Necrons, they would honestly probably think kissing was gross and biological, but I'm sure there is some Necron equivalent involving mixing their engrams or something that they could be doing instead of what they're constantly not doing in the book, which is kissing.

Dally, shortly after we brought her inside. Her fur grey and white fur is short and still pretty dirty, and there are some scabs on her nose. She is looking at the camera a little nervously. She is sharing a pet bed with her friend Dilly, a shorthaired tabby who is conked out next to her. Dilly's front leg is extended out into the air and his white paw is spread out a bit.

Dally, much more recently. Her grey and white fur is long and floofy. Her coat is far cleaner and she is looking at the camera with much more confidence, with one leg extended out. She is laying down on top of the cat kennel we used when we first brought her in, which is covered with a blue baby blanket.

Our foster cats, Dilly and Dally.

Dally, a long-haired cat with grey and white fur. She is looking up at the camera with clear eyes and her floofy coat needs some brushing. He is dozing with his arm with his head against my check and one paw reaching up to my shoulder. I (white guy with brown hair and a green shirt) am also visible from one of my least flattering angles, but Dilly looks cute and that's all that matters. I am sitting in my home computer chair while holding him.

We have recently clarified our penalties for this. If a submission contains incontrovertible evidence that the authors did not check the results of LLM generation, this means we can't trust anything in the paper. 3/
