We have received a number of comments and concerns regarding the Megaplex 2026 Convention schedule and we'd like to take a few moments to address some recurring questions.
During Megaplex 2025, we opened the concept of a "Community Room", that is, a room that is dedicated to a specific genre of programming. In 2025, this was limited to the "pooltoy" community room. Its success gave us the idea of expanding into additional community rooms. These have included the "Babyfur/Kidfur" and "Pet Play" communities. At many other conventions around the country, including Megaplex 2025, these groups have been relegated to a small number of rooms and/or panels that simply could not hold the volume of attendees who wished to participate in the programming. To meet the demand, Megaplex opted to expand the community rooms to include these groups. The method of listing various events within the community rooms did give an appearance of preferential treatment towards these groups. However, we can assure all of our attendees that spaces for community rooms were allocated based on having new additional event spaces available this year.

Questions have also arisen regarding panels that are missing or were expected. Due to the proximity of the convention start day, we have released the preliminary schedule even though we are still awaiting information on panels to be added to the schedule. Please understand that the schedule is still being actively updated and panel information is being added as the panelists are providing details. In some cases, panels that attendees may have been anticipating were not submitted this year. We definitely share in the community's disappointment and hope that those panels are submitted for next year. Please understand that all panels are submitted by volunteers from the community and in that community spirit, Megaplex staff and community members have stepped in to help fill gaps in programming.
Over the coming days, you can expect to see additional panels and meet/greets added to the schedule. Recent additions include:
• The Feline Meet & Greet
• UNIFURSITY
• Pouched Pals: The Marsupial Meet & Greet
• Hirsute Appreciation Meet & Greet
• Plushy Playdate
... and many others.
We'd also like to share that Megaplex 2026 will be hosting an official large-scale Trinket Trade. This is intended to provide a fun, centralized experience while ensuring we remain in compliance with both convention and hotel policies. We recognize that this may not align fully with everyone's expectations, but hope that it is seen as a positive step forward.
Most importantly, we acknowledge that we could have communicated these changes more clearly from the start. Megaplex exists because of its community and your feedback is essential in helping us to improve. We appreciate your patience and your passion, and we're committed to continuing to listen and to do better.
