When I took the history reporter job, I told my editor I would never "both sides" the Civil War, Confederates or slavery. I never did. But here, ChatGPT (pic 1) has turned my work (pics 2,3) into whitewashed pablum and put MY FUCKING NAME on it. I am livid, I am shaking. I don't know what to do.

The BBC is getting less flexible even as it needs to do just the opposite to stay relevant (and to keep talent). Simultaneously, climate is getting more politicised just as it *must* do the opposite for action to happen in time. Two interlinked problems going in the wrong direction.

Jacob was liberated in the Gunskirchen subcamp on May 4, 1945. He died four days later in a hospital in Wels. The father of Sol (holding his photo), who survived the Holocaust. The grandfather of Joseph Finkelstein, who today is a member of the Auschwitz Birkenau Memorial Foundation board.

Trump just posted a photo of himself holding up a piece of paper claiming to show tattoos on Kilmar Abrego Garcia that are related to MS-13. The paper he’s holding up has been digitally altered to add the characters MS-13. The claim comes from neo-Nazis on X who say the tattoos cover up “MS-13.”

Judge Boasberg finds that there is probable cause to find the government in CRIMINAL contempt over its non-compliance with his order prohibiting the removal of people to a prison in El Salvador under the Alien Enemies Act storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...
On the evening of Saturday, March 15, 2025, this Court issued a written Temporary Restraining Order barring the Government from transferring certain individuals into foreign custody pursuant to the Alien Enemies Act. At the time the Order issued, those individuals were on planes being flown overseas, having been spirited out of the United States by the Government
before they could vindicate their due-process rights by contesting their removability in a federal
court, as the law requires. Trump v. J.G.G., 2025 WL 1024097, at *2 (U.S. Apr. 7, 2025) (per
curiam). Rather than comply with the Court's Order, the Government continued the hurried
removal operation. Early on Sunday morning — hours after the Order issued — it transferred
two planeloads of passengers protected by the TRO into a Salvadoran mega-prison.
As this Opinion will detail, the Court ultimately determines that the Government's
actions on that day demonstrate a willful disregard for its Order, sufficient for the Court to
conclude that probable cause exists to find the Government in criminal contempt The Court does not reach such conclusion lightly or hastily; indeed, it has given Defendants ample
opportunity to rectify or explain their actions. None of their responses has been satisfactory.
