It's absolutely hard for me to read and write sometimes, either due to physical issues, like pain or brain fog, or psychological issues, like grief, anxiety, or depression. The physical stuff, I can sometimes medicate my way through in an absolute pinch. But I can't take those kinds of meds daily.

I fucking love that DS9 dragged some of its best characters through the worst of what they were capable of and expected them to either live with it or redeem themselves, and for us to forgive them, or simply come to terms with with their choices. Saw someone say the decline of Trek began during the DS9 war storyline, which, btw, remains the greatest writing in all of Trek. It didn’t torch the values of the franchise, it problematized utopian narratives about what it looks like to hold that much power, and took the realities of war seriously.

I see some people debating what Trump was actually saying, re: Iran bombing US cities. I watched the clip, and to me it felt like, mid-thought, he sort of wandered and was saying, yeah, if they're gonna bomb a city, let them bomb one of these cities I hate, and then got back to gas prices.
