I've solved the perspective animation (again, thanks to my old files) and now I'm just drawing some forms and I can animate stuff after I work out blocking out whatever sections. Eye of the Beholder #gamedev

A bunch of red sewer walls for Eye of the Beholder as the basis of my 2D dungeon crawler game.

They're large stones with a red hue, with some grime and weeds or some such growing from the sewer floor and the water level staining the lower end of the stones a foul color.

There's a recessed stone seen on the back wall, with some extra vines growing here and there such as the corner. There's an overall green background (not back of Eye of the Beholder) and a blue background which is all outside the game view.

my wall (or anything) animations now find the object by its base name, build the appropriate animation frames into the array and animate them. so now I don't have to actually create animation players or anything. Paris: that's hot

lol, I guess. I kinda don't remember how I handled the animation in the 2D version of the dungeon crawler. I think I had made arrays and cycled through them using an animation of an int. It's either that or make animation clips for every thing in the game and that would be ass. #gamedev

tried to resuscitate my dead MSI GE76 laptop, but hitting the power button still does nothing. I reconnected the screen after SO MUCH toiling, and...jack fuck. whatever happened it's when the screen broke off with the hinges breaking, and it pulled that wire at its source and it super shut off.

made a few changes, pulled the sections in tighter. shifted the hue of the button a little to make it pop better. I think in the game they were like, bright blue or something. it's good enough. let's build a dungeon crawler. #gamedev

something I noticed when watching rotation animation frames in Underkeep, is that there's an inbetween frame where it's been blurred halfway, and then the transition through is very fast. I think they did this to cut down on the work involved. I don't really like it.
