I just had a really dumb epiphany: Zelda games are used in a similar way to WarioWare, in that while WarioWare is typically used to showcase the weird gimmicks of whatever console it is on, Zelda games are typically used to flex the power as well as use the weird gimmicks

The PS3 was only 10 years ago and Sony looked at what a fucking disaster it was and said "let's do that again but demand even more money and double down" The main difference is that back then Xbox was competent and posed an actual threat.

The main games I liked weapon and armor deterioration in were Fallout 3 and New Vegas. This was because you could improve your gear by finding more of it. Meanwhile in Oblivion it’s like “hit it with a hammer sometimes.” Forgive me, but bleh. It makes no sense, but let me fix weapons with weapons.
