![Replacing the XJ was an impossible ask and this was doomed from the start. KJ [2002-2007] Jeep Liberty [it retained the name "Cherokee" in many markets], green over plastic, seen earlier today. I've driven a few. They were mediocre. The 3.7L V6 was if ennui was an engine. The turbodiesel [drove one!] should have been interesting. It was not. The 2.4L 4 was... who cares? These were very plasticky and felt down market. Daimler was already pilfering Chrysler's cash and it showed.
