It’s almost as if Subaru is ignoring its base and just blatantly refuses to dip their toes into STI territory again for its WRX (and BRZ). The opportunity is right there and the buyers are ready.

Interesting and very ambitious. We have recent data that show there’s definitely satisfaction in riding in a robotaxi amongst those who have, as well as strong consideration for riding in one amongst those who have NOT yet…but interest in buying a robotaxi for a consumer to own remains pretty low.

With the avalanche of short-form content publishing today from various creators about Volvo's latest 2028 XC60...it's frustrating, albeit expected, that beyond stating the now-greater range, there's little to no mention of *what* a plug-in hybrid is and why it matters to the consumer. Face palm.

My story on what will be the longest-range plug-in hybrid on sale in the U.S. when it lands early in 2027. The 2028 Volvo XC60 T8 has a (projected) EPA-rated range of 78 miles on e-power only, more than twice the 36 miles of the previous T8. Battery moves to underfloor + goes from 18.8 to 41.2 kWh.

🔌 That’s a wrap on my week of testing Mitsubishi’s latest 2026 Outlander PHEV Black Edition. Routinely Level 1 charging via my home’s basic 120V outlet, I drove 155 out of 180 total miles using only the battery’s electric power. Random, but I really liked this plug-in hybrid’s steering feel.
