Two reworked old paintings, or possibly a diptych. Ladies and gentlemen, the first ghost And Ladies and gentlemen, the final ghost

We see a large, stylised white ghost from the waist up, between to hills. The sky is black and cloudless and full of stars. With long, outstretched arms, the ghost is juggling five balls - 2 red, 2 blue 1 yellow. These are the only the colours - the ghost is white, sky is black and the hills are shades of grey.

Again, a ghost between two hills, but this time the ghost is much smaller, and floating - we can see all of this one. The hill nearest to us is black, the further away one dark yellow with red shadows. Each hill is topped with a red fence and, hanging mysteriously from the top of the painting are two further red fences. The top of the ghost's head appears to be disintegrating - small, starlike white orbs are drifting away from it.

can't help find it frustrating that Julia Fox is castigated for dressing up as post-JFK-assassination Jackie O while Heidi Klum is lauded for her Medusa costume. Although she had a tragic backstory it can't be denied that Medusa was responsible for many deaths. Should we really be celebrating that?

Too much bracken is a sign of severe ecological imbalance, caused by prolonged overgrazing. It can be a serious barrier to the return of trees and a richer, natural ecosystem like rainforest. But it is a native fern, and turns a very beautiful blend of russets, oranges, and yellows in the autumn.
