researchers showed 1,950 people videos of cats and asked them to identify whether the cats were tense, fearful, or relaxed. while people were remarkably bad at this task, men especially struggled. this is probably not extremely surprising to anyone who has used a dating app.

I've been immersed in research on Reconstruction in Lousiana and it's a very difficult truth to absorb that the white terrorist movement in the South was among the most successful terrorist movements in global history.
