Miss Mossley @missmossley.bsky.social · 02/08/2026I think opening school sites more could have been mitigated better but not without money (instead of Eat Out To Help Out & dodgy PPE contracts) and not without prioritising teachers for vaccines. Also, a different pandemic could be much more damaging to young people e.g. flu. 010
Miss Mossley @missmossley.bsky.social · 02/08/2026I teach teenagers so I aim to keep as distant as possible anyway but still not feasible. 100
Miss Mossley @missmossley.bsky.social · 02/08/2026Yes, it's more mental health/discomfort intolerance with the younger ones in my experience. It's an ever-changing range of issues - possibly not just covid related. 030
Miss Mossley @missmossley.bsky.social · 02/08/2026Wait until the students who were in early years make their way up to you... Current year 9s are a ... phenomenon. 120
Miss Mossley @missmossley.bsky.social · 02/08/2026However, being IN school is generally good for mental health. 000
Miss Mossley @missmossley.bsky.social · 02/08/2026There should have been 'Nightingale' schools with extra temporary rooms/air-filtration/staffing etc. We were literally just told to open windows and keep away from the kids. It wasn't enough to educate children OR keep transmission down. 220
Miss Mossley @missmossley.bsky.social · 02/08/2026I don't disagree. I'm a secondary teacher and there's definitely *something* wrong with the lockdown kids. However it's not that simple. The number of staff who caught it at my school would mean having to close due to staffing problems anyway. 100
Miss Mossley @missmossley.bsky.social · 01/08/2026I have no wish to return to the schools that offered 2 BTECs and Applied Science to kids who wanted to study medicine - like in 2008 - but the current curriculum is much too narrow. And I speak as a secondary teacher of an academic subject. 080
Miss Mossley @missmossley.bsky.social · 31/07/2026A lot more Greens in Gorton/Denton constituency than in Greater Manchester as a whole. Can't imagine they're surprised tbh. 000
Miss Mossley @missmossley.bsky.social · 16/06/2026🙌🏻 Took me six hours. It really sped up once it got down to 5000. 010
