At this point Halo has been mismanaged for longer than it was ever good. Updating a quarter-century-old game should be an easy win - but even beneath the veneer of UE5, this sloppy facsimile of Halo is an insulting piece of shit. Halo: Campaign Evolved is an absolutely worthless experience. It's the strongest example yet of a studio misinterpreting the source material so fundamentally, so incompetently, that it might as well be a parody. This will be many people's first experience of Halo. And that is fucking heartbreaking.

As you can see, Xbox held their presentation on 6/7, while Nintendo is holding theirs on 6/9. This is due to their core company missives; Nintendo holds fast to traditional (and successful!) gamer values, whereas Xbox is a brand that constantly tries to remain relevant by latching onto trends

My 360 RROD'd just before Halo 3 came out. The towel trick revived my machine for a bit, but by the time it finally died I was having to actually stand on top of it to make it boot up. Then when H3 came out, I snagged the last copy in GAME, got it home, and the disc was faulty. Best console ever.

Incidentally, earlier this year Microsoft announced it was investing $80 billion in AI. EIGHTY BILLION DOLLARS. They gobbled up half the games industry in a disastrous acquisition spree that never should've been allowed to happen, then saw something shinier and immediately fumbled the gaming bag.
