Every one of these guys is thinking the same thing: how much money can I extract from giving Defense contracts to the tech industry? Even the govt officials are calculating when to make the jump over to the vendors they are nominally going to be buying from.

The underlying theory Senate Republicans are going with is that Joe Biden secretly ordered DOJ to investigate Trump, something they have produced no evidence to support and also they're all fine with Trump publicly ordering DOJ to investigate his enemies.

Far-right movements and parties everywhere build their claim to power on the assertion that they represent the “will of the people” and those who embody the supposed “essence” of the nation. Mainstream voices must not perpetuate such nationalistic essentialism.

Non-voters are called apathetic, but they’re not. they’re politically homeless and feel abandoned by the existing order. Fascism mobilizes them and gives their anger and ignorance a scapegoat. Turns humiliation into hatred. Explanation is not exoneration, but that’s how it happens.

The image depicts the Voyager 1 spacecraft in space, set against a backdrop of stars and nebulous, blue cosmic clouds.A photograph of space showing scattered light beams with a small, pale dot known as Earth. This image is famously known as the "Pale Blue Dot," captured by the Voyager 1 spacecraft.

People are falling for the DSA vs Establishment trap again. Didn’t we learn our lesson in 2016 and 2024? It’s the establishment’s job to build a coalition that can win EVERYWHERE. In some places, that means ultra-progressive. In others, it means establishment. The tent is big enough for all of us.

Happy Dogust, everybody.
Photo of a dog jumping into Lake Michigan.
The lake stretches off to the horizon. It is early evening, so the sky near the horizon is rosy and peach. A faint yellow belt of Venus divides that part of the sky from the blue above. The dog is caught in mid-air. It took off from the shore and will hit the water maybe 10 or 12 feet out into the lake.
