a lot of people are finally waking up to the importance of the 3rd amendment. As a 3A absolutist, i think it should be illegal for soldiers to be quartered anywhere in this country. they should be camping under the open sky at all times. all military bases and barracks are unconstitutional.

Can't stop thinking about the Anthony Fantano-ass ICE agent who dropped his gun and then pointed it at bystanders. Really replicating the Nazis' oaf-little weiner dichotomy

I was back at 26 Federal Plaza today, where an ICE agent violently threw this bereft woman to the ground in front of her kids. She had not touched him. She did not pose any threat. She had to be taken to the hospital. (🎥: Elias Eliahu)

Griffin’s definition of fascism as palingenetic ultranationalism—specifically a reactionary nostalgia for a lost history of the nation that never existed—remains undefeated. A nostalgia for a type of bread that is ubiquitous, created in the 20th century, and rage towards bread as old as civilisation

in slightly-early honour of St Patricks Day, I will once again remind the world of the time Amazon united Ireland (and apologized for the Troubles), still one of my favourite moments on twitter
A Twitter thread. Amazon Help replies to a (not visible) tweet saying "Autumn Nations Cup coverage is available to Prime Video customers
based in UK only. Prime Video doesn't support streaming content through Virtual Private Network (VPN) or proxy
connections. Are you using either of these?"

Chris Jones says "No."

Amazon Help says "Thank you for that information. We
apologize but upon reviewing your
location you're in Northern Ireland.
Rugby Autumn Nations Cup coverage is
exclusively available to Prime members
based in the UK. We don't have the rights
to other territories."The thread continues. Chris Jones says "Northern Ireland is part of the UK."

Amazon Help says "Many apologies, but we don't have the broadcast rights for Ireland or other territories." Another twitter user says "Northern Ireland *IS* the UK, "UK" is
short for The United Kingdom of Great
Britain and Northern Ireland.
(This tweet does not reflect my opinions
on the matter of a united island of
Ireland)"

Amazon Help replies "Thank you for reaching out to us. We'll be sure to pass your feedback along to the appropriate team." Amazon Help replies to a different tweet, and leads with "Hi there! We apologize for the troubles."

it's always fascinating to watch grown adults discover the concept of public libraries for the first time

Quoted tweet by Ken Herman @kherman
Ponderable?

And do free people expect to read every book they want to read for free (at public expense)?

After all, many people who write and produce the books do expect a return on their effort and investment.

Just a thought.Tweet thread: Molly White @molly0xFFF 37m
and when you decide to defund libraries because "people who can afford it can just buy the books", you restrict access to those who can't afford it

Ken Herman @kherman 21m
How about if we use those tax dollars to buy the books for those who can't afford them?

Molly White @molly0xFFF
congratulations! you have just invented libraries
