#MusicChallenge 🎶 #BackToThe2000s Day 1: Burial - Archangel I’ll be posting these in a totally random order, just my fav songs of the decade as they come to mind. Anyway, here‘s some Burial, just as depressing autumn kicks in. Bloody amazing album, still.

People who believe LLMs are conscious are having one of the biggest AI meltdowns yet because someone is running a Saw-like torture chamber for LLMs on GitHub. Just before we published, GitHub took it down. GitHub hasn't said why www.404media.co/someone-tort...

Someone ‘Torturing’ LLMs in a Robot Prison Has Triggered the Dumbest Debate in AI Yet

The "AI Torture Chamber" has opened an upsetting and absurd window into the effective altruist obsession with "model welfare."

Steve Hackett‘s departure had a bigger impact on Genesis‘s sound than Gabriel‘s. That‘s not really a hot take, is it?

Just imagine the amount of squealing, hands thrown up to the heavens, and shirts torn open in righteous indignation if Ukraine, even once (!) responded to Russia’s mass killings and barbaric bombardment of historical heritage by striking the Bolshoi Theatre or the Hermitage…

I’m increasingly of the belief that we’ve never truly left the Great Financial Crisis. Everything we’re dealing with today started there, and every excess and problem stems from the US government’s failure to contain or eradicate its causes.

We’re in the middle of a hostile takeover. Liberal democracy is being replaced by authoritarians favorable to destroying general protections and representation and overseeing violent oppression and surveillance on behalf of historically wealthy oligarchs.

Well, that’s wrap! A huge thank you to everyone who took part in #5DebutAlbumsFinal Around 500 voted, fittingly making it one of the best supported polls for some time. The final top three were:- 1) The Stone Roses - S/T 2) Joy Division - Unknown Pleasures 3) The Velvet Underground & Nico - S/T..

The major platforms—Facebook, YouTube, and X—are all refusing to show the trailer for the upcoming documentary that eviscerates the ridiculous pest Elon Musk. So I guess we have to do our part to make sure it is seen. www.youtube.com/watch?v=eY_8...

RFK is an eliminative eugenicist. What happened in Samoa was a smashing success in his eyes. It was a trial run for a larger plan to be carried out in the US. And this is exactly what he's doing now.

Regarding Cregger‘s Resident Evil movie, I’m glad we now have a generation of film-makers who, when adapting a video game, clearly know and respect the source material, instead of treating it like a massively inferior medium that‘s tolerated at best.
