What's perhaps more interesting is the brief period in the mid-20th century when this wasn't true, and instead the shadowy cabal was "the Chinese" (in the 1960s), "the Saudis" (70s), and "the Japanese" (80s).
Probably because antisemitism was briefly put out of public view after WW2.
