It would be easy to counterpunch. Point out that the people causing immeasurable pain are the same ones pushing bigotry, and frame that as them being delusional for denying science and basic reality. They're all shouting "Everything's fine! focus on trans people!" while everything is collapsing.

The point of the "Transgender sports debate" is to spread the idea that women are inherently "weaker" than men, to support the ideology that women are inherently inferior to men. When the public consensus is that women are inferior, the exceptions come out, exceptions to title ix, exceptions to workplace discrimination, to voting, and then there is no equality between men and women that was fought so hard for.

The most successful thing the conservatives have ever done is get feminists to agree that women are weaker than men, using transgender hate as a Trojan horse.

This is why "trans rights are human rights" isn't just a tidy slogan for transgender people, but for all people. Creating exceptions to discriminate against transgender people is how they create the permission structure to discriminate against any person.

I gave the instructions, context, decisions, and countless refinements, claude was the tool.
If Claude starts watermarking the code or anything else it generates, what exactly is it claiming credit for?
By that logic, my internet provider should watermark everything we do. The operating system should watermark everything Claude creates, the compiler should watermark every binary we build.
And eventually Claude or Anthropic should open source everything so that one can tell what exactly Claude did
They are tools and infrastructure, so is Claude.
The final output comes from countless prompts, thoughts, instructions, decisions, corrections, subscription fee and refinement and what not. The model helped execute that process, if Claude wants to provide provenance, fine. But branding the output because we used its tool is ridiculous, considering it's ultimately the people's decision to go with which text, code.
You din create the work, I gave you the instructions to create the bits.

A weird thing is that whenever I post criticism of Al, the majority of the people agreeing with me seem to be leftists. It's pretty much the only position I hold that seems to be more popular with the left than the right. It should be the opposite. My whole point about Al (especially Al in creative fields) is that it isn't human, it doesn't have a soul, and we cannot surrender our society to an unhuman soulless algorithm even if it makes our lives easier in some ways.
