Advice for a 1:48 aviation noob please. Prepping this for airbrush painting, but I’m concerned that paint will find its way around the tape (on top of some sponge). Is there a better method I am missing?

A milestone for me today. During a session with the my amazing community physiotherapist, I climbed up and down the stairs for the first time since October. One small step towards my independence.

Had an appointment at the Haematology clinic today. The consultant declared that I am officially in remission. More news like that please.

Had a call with my consultant, and he says the markers for Myeloma in my blood are below detection level, which sets me up for a solid remission. I have 2 more cycles of chemotherapy for “consolidation” starting in a couple of weeks, then the rest of my life! Could not be happier.

Change of topic. This is a 3D print of a NASA HL-10 lifting body prototype. I am trying to use UV resin as a filler to hide the layer lines. The final effect I want in terms of the finish is carved wood, I am going to present it as a desk ornament.

Been in Texas for a week hanging out with my brother who is very poorly. He wanted to collaborate on some projects, health permitting. So, this one is a 3D printed Star Wars chess piece. I have never painted a face this big, so happy with the chance to learn.
