Three of our copies of Theo of Golden are finally back on our shelves without going out to fulfill a hold. It took exactly a year for the craze to start to calm down. That's wild for a book that isn't scandalous, or particularly riveting. I guess people really just needed a wholesome read.

Still daydreaming of going to see John Green this Sunday in ME. Getting there is not a problem since it's in the afternoon. It's getting home late and having to go to work the next day that's the issue. Also, I've been spending a lot on weekend trips lately. But none of that stops me from dreaming.

In case you missed it last year

Today is the start of Latinx Heritage Month and just a reminder that while my married name is Jimenez, I am not Latinx. I'm 23 years married to a Salvadoran man, but I myself am Sicilian. I was already famous under my real name for my appearances on Food Network which is why I chose not to write under a pen name.

If you see me on Latinx lists, please let them know that I don't belong there, I never want to take space from those authors.

Also, if there's anyone who can edit Wikipedia (and make it stick), please update it with this information! Here's a reference article with me stating my Sicilian background back in 2020, I've always been very vocal about this but inevitably my name keeps popping up this time of year. Thanks ❤️

Today was a really good day. I got haircut, had sushi for lunch with my mom and daughter, got my eyebrows threaded, had bubble tea and a piece of cake, got my nails done, and had Cheesecake Factory for dinner with my family. Now I’m in my pjs just chillin. My heart (and tummy) is full. 💜

I inspected the bottle capping and bottle label machines at a factory that made and bottled medical grade cleaning supplies. Factory work is super mind numbing but thankfully I was able to listen to music while I did it.
