YEEEEEESSSS, Shadowal blocks on the stairwell of 4124 N. California, ca. 1959

Color photo of a metal internal stairwell in an open corridor apartment building, taken at night. The wall along the stairwell is a bold pattern of large connected hexagons.

Color detail from wall in first pic. Gray-brown rectangular blocks with a trapezoid relief, laid to make stacks of hexagons.

Black and white ad for Shadowal by Utah Concrete Pipe Co.
Copy reads:
Shadowal THE CONCRETE MASONRY WITH 1,000 FACES. Recesses in the face of each Shadowal unit can be arranged in an almost limitless number of dramatic sculptured patterns. The true versatility of Shadowal concrete masonry is limited on by the imagination and ingenuity of the designer. Pics show blocks making hexagon, trapezoid, and diamond patterns.

Hey, I’m just asking questions. Ignorant questions, bigoted questions, questions that have been repeatedly answered for many years. Sorry, but I’m not listening to answers right now; I’m far too busy asking questions. It’s called being intellectually curious.

I like this photo my sister took last month.

A cluster of yellow flowers leans out over a clear, gently flowing river. The water reflects the surrounding rocks and greenery.

I'm not sure it counts as therapy, but stuffing an entire leaf of red lettuce in my mouth and mooing like a brontosaurus is definitely good for my mental health.

Another knife? Oh no I shouldn't...unless?

Giovanni Bellini (1430 - 1516) - Saint Peter Martyr. Detail.

Oil Painting of a bearded man with curly hair and partial tonsure in brown monk's robes. He's looking up and to the side with a placid or perhaps weary expression. A thin gold circle halos his head, which is split bloodlessly by a heavy curved knife with an ornate hilt. A stiletto pierces his heart.

Mods are asleep and there's no hope of justice, post Saint Peter Martyr

Painting of a bearded monk in white habit under an open brown cowl, with a broad-bladed chopper knife embedded in his tonsure and a dagger in his clavicle. He holds a book in one hand and points the finger of his other hand downward. He looks directly at the viewer, strangely calm.

Lorenzo Lotto's painting of Friar Angelo Ferretti as Saint Peter Martyr, 1549

Need to earn some scratch making portraits of saints for the Church but your true calling is painting sick ass knives? Saint Peter Martyr is your guy.

This would look sick as hell as a wraparound graphic on a cycling jersey

Album cover of Carpenters PASSAGE LP
A stylized music staff with doubled lines curving up and down, with a quarter note in red and blurred whole notes in red-black, yellow, purple and blue stretched and blurred across it. The top and bottom of the cover are stark black, making a vivid contrast.

It's just how I feel

Grid of four black & white photos of a man sleeping. Clockwise from upper left: In a business suit on a desk cluttered with paper; in overalls on the dirt of a freshly planted garden row; in flannel robe on a couch with the TV on; in a white evening jacket, black pants and white sneakers, on the rug at a party. BACH ARTILLERIE is Bach arranged for synths and drum set, a super fun album Anne described as "a sacrilege" and "turn it off." She's dead serious about JSB.
