Coverage of the Canada trade war seems to be underselling an important point: Trump tore up NAFTA and made everyone sign a new agreement more to his liking in 2020 with a 16-year renewable term. Now he's tearing up that agreement. If his signature is meaningless why would Canada agree to anything?

Is there a well-regarded discography for Lee “Scratch” Perry, that distinguishes albums and singles he made “intentionally” (solo, collabs, with Upsetters, etc) versus semi-shady releases and such? I’d buy a physical book of such a thing if it existed.

I wrote this because most journalists facing this pressure can’t. The paper we count on to check authoritarianism spiked an investigation into the Democratic Party because the party’s lawyers threatened to sue. Holding authoritarians accountable starts with holding your own side accountable.
