In short, extremely wealthy person supports policy that makes UK 10% less well off, then decides to become a tax exile, then complains the country is on the decline.

I’ve paid my dues
I am happy for my friends and family. Needless to say, Arsenal is a very strong thread that binds us. I met my wife through this club and we spent a portion of our morning showing our five-year […] The post I’ve paid my dues appeared first on Arseblog ... an Arsenal blog.

Chelsea and Man City in the FA Cup final. No other English clubs have systematically ignored, bent or broken the rules like both have done. In terms of trophies won, no other English clubs have been as successful over the past decade and a half either. The moral of the story - is that there is none.

Utter bollocks from a manager who oversaw one of the most expensive recruitment campaigns of any club *in history* in net terms in both 2022 and 2023. Which he should be reminded of at every presser. As he should be reminded of who his paymasters are. Pathetic.

As a Manchester United fan I rightly expect absolutely no sympathy for the abject state of my club. I will also say: Wenger's Arsenal overwhelmed Manchester United fair and square, while Chelsea and Manchester City didn't, and football as a whole is still paying a huge price for that.

The way the team is coached to dominate opponents is elite. They just need to buy a couple more players who can stick it in the net more reliably (and hope that their two CFs don’t get injured at the same time again).

Honestly just does my head in. Serious foul play is one of the few flawless and totally acceptable ways to use VAR and they just don’t bother. Player safety a total non issue for PGMOL but trivial nonsense is fussed over endlessly. Really badly just want Webb to go.

Stop making football less fun. Please
Football is meant to be fun. As minor as it seems, solemnly tutting at or punishing a player for mocking in celebrations, chips away at that

When Lamina was sent off the whole away end still sang ‘Michael Oliver it’s all about you.’ Football fans are sick and tired of these remedial individuals ruining games and making it all about them. Both red cards did not need to happen at all. So fucking sick of it.

5Live experts on Lewis-Skelly red card: Pat Nevin: “a bar so low even a limbo dancing snake couldn’t get under it…” Mark Chapman: “baffling and nonsensical from supposedly one of our best referees.” I don't think anyone except VAR or Michael Oliver thought that was a red.

What is the point of trying to analyse a game of football when a referee does that? I'm sorry, but you cannot convince me that's anything other than an utterly corrupt decision from an official who has done this to us before - AT THIS VERY GROUND. PGMOL and Oliver can just fuck off.

This is 100% right, I've said it so often. The reason PGMOL are so soft on violent conduct can only be a directive from the top, and when some player suffers a terrible injury, they won't take any responsibility. Then they use media chums to gaslight us over bullshit red cards for trivial shit.
