Three panel comic. Panel 1: a high school basketball game. The home team is down 9 points, and some players are looking discouraged on the bench. The coach points to a player just out of frame and says, “flippers, you’re in!” Panel 2: the away team attempts a deep 2-point shot, possibly to beat the buzzer, which is blocked by Flippers, a whale who doesn’t even have his arms up. Panel 3: the game ends and the home team excitedly crowd around Flippers, who won them the game. A player from the away team looks stunned, with his hands on his head.

The first time an adult told me to "go back to Africa" I was seven. I was extremely confused because I had lived in the suburban neighborhood she just moved to my whole life. It expanded into one of the only times I ever saw my terminally polite mother read anyone the riot act.

The real question is, "How much money is enough?" This isn't the beginning of "Juicy." You are not on a street corner figuring out how to feed a child. You are thriving in a viable career. The blood money is unnecessary. So why are you tarnishing your brand? And more importantly, your soul?

They're holding up a major escalation in Iran and a crackdown on abortion until after the midterms to limit political damage. To the extent that the last two years have been a right-wing smash-and-grab operation, the next two will be worse.

Obviously not a new observation but I think it always bears repeating that this is probably the biggest strength of NYC as a place, and specifically as a place for kids to grow up. The subway is kind of its own third place; not for socializing, but for just existing and taking in the world as it is.

Not just impeachable. Impeachment, both pres. and agency heads, is the only option. It's impeachment or nothing. Courts won't stop it. Other tools are impotent. Put them on trial the only way you can. Even if you can't get 2/3, use process as punishment. Make it miserable and costly. It can be done.

Black text on a white page that reads as follows:

Too often, homeless New Yorkers cycle from our hospitals to our streets — making it harder to continue treatment and find long-term stability.

The City's Bridge to Home program in Manhattan ends the cycle by providing a safe place for New Yorkers to live while they receive medical care, apply to jobs, and find an apartment. The program has been a massive success.

Today, we’re expanding Bridge to Home to Brooklyn and Queens, so more New Yorkers get the help they need.

Not fully, MANY working class people think they're temporarily embarrassed millionaires and vote accordingly, and that's the biggest problem we have. If all working class people voted in their economic self-interest, conservative politics wouldn't even sniff power.
