Canada's wildfires have put 200 million tons of CO2 into the atmosphere but next spring they'll claim a 2026 emissions reduction because the official carbon accounting system does not count the wildfires that capitalist forestry practices make inevitable.

It is Pride Month. Throughout this month, I will be sharing the stories of how Canadians fought for equality. Today it is the story of Halpern v Canada.
