i’m gonna slowly take over the Anthropology department’s underused bulletin boards until they’re unhinged zine libraries documenting how to destroy and rebuild human culture starting with @literaturegeek.bsky.social et al’s DIY Web Archiving! now with QR code, lol. i only had time to print off 2!
a small bulletin board sits on a table and leans against a wall. the board has some stuff on it. the stuff is a zine and a poster about a zine. there is also a full-color booklet advertising a cemetery and a paper copy of the onion.a small bulletin board sits on a table and leans against a wall. the board has some stuff on it. the stuff is a zine and a poster about a zine. a nerd has drawn some colored pencil doodles on red poster and zine. there is also a full-color booklet advertising a cemetery and a paper copy of the onion.it is another bulletin board, in the same building, though this is not apparent in the photograph. this is an alternative text secret for you, the reader. the bulletin in this poster boasts a hand-drawn sign advertising free coffee, and another zine + poster.

Prints are up from my quest to made continually create larger printers fists 👉 (pointing hand printing blocks). I edited a historical image, lasercut in bamboo, mounted typehigh, & printed with red-orange-purple gradient ink on a Vandercook printing press earlier this summer:

I spent too long this summer thinking of a pun that applied to both the projects I was working on at the time: letterpress volvelles/info spinners (revolution) & kite printing (down to earth). From July:

Warde's original poem hangs in many printshops. It's got dogwhistling, triumphant all printing is noble/no acknowledgment of tech being just how it's used (eg Eisenstein on the printing press enabling witch hunts)...& was used to popularize serial rapist Eric Gill's work!? So I remixed it.

For #DHtries #DHmakes, here are some letterpress draft prints from acclimating to unusual press+ink that didn't turn out as wanted. Pic 1 bc registration (multiple layer passes) is harder on this press + I totally winged it; Pic 2 from figuring out how this different ink type layers.
Photo of 5 versions of a letterpress print on various papers (royal blue, woven white, tan chip) with red ink overlaid offset on blue ink for the text. Most are offset just enough that they look illegible rather than intentionally glitchy. Each print says "many doloreses / —no president"Photo of 4 versions of a letterpress print on white woven papers that have background blue-violet handinked texture across half the page, and blue ink for the text. For some particular infra folks who actually lead the university: deliberately overlooked, routinely underestimated, capaciously knowledgeable, injecting care into bureaucracy. Thanks to all the Doloreses for making academia run instead of trying to say "AI" loudest. Many Dolores; no president.

QT: "Thinking of that tweet re:everyone in academia knows a 60yo woman only known by her 1st name, who actually runs the dept/uni. (Which is almost at an anarchist understanding: not "make Dolores president" but "many Doloreses, no president" and "how can you Dolores too")"
Dr. Cottom tweet: "Anyway, your problem isn't finding the time to take notes. The problem is that taking notes is thinking and thinking has to be done by someone. women have been doing a lot of metacognition that looks like a task when it's really thinking."
