This video is amazing, to see the signal phase rotation in action. This video is heartbreaking, to see almost every LRV hit a red light that should have been a green extended for 15 seconds.

Scarborough is criss-crossed by many greenways (some former or never-used railway, some hydro, some creeks) and they *all* need trails! bsky.app/profile/kris...

Green Links in Scarborough would help members of the community get around safely on foot or on bikes without having to be around busy roads and compete with cars. Adding these routes to create a network would help communities gain access to key spaces like transit stations too.

How about privatizing the *other* massive city line item? Maybe the private sector can bring in some automated enforcement.

So here's a weird one. This year Manitoba will stop using Daylight Savings. But Ontario (including northwestern Ontario which has traditionally followed Central time) didn't. So on November 1, northwestern Ontario will turn its clocks back and be on the same time zone as AB/SK, but not Manitoba.

My favourite part of the Gravis Gamepad (and it's successor Pro, pictured) was the tiny little stick you could screw into the d-pad because in the early 90s we were still drafting off the concept that PC controllers had to be joysticks

Hey, @communauto.bsky.social updated this! "Take the stairs up to level P2 and turn left. Look for the Designated CarShare Parking signs along the north wall, starting from the stairwell exit)." They still have the wrong left vs right, and north vs south, but at least on P2 it's hard to miss.

The Progressive Conservative/Red Tory flight from the post-2003-merger Conservative Party is now holding the reigns of the Liberal Party. Is it frustrating at times? Yes. Is it preferable to the current Conservative Party? Absolutely.

If drivers want to credibly blame anything for traffic, they could blame an increase in the number of traffic signals. But hard to reverse this trend — the city is growing, mostly via high-rise dev, and people want safe places to cross near their homes. toronto.cityhallwatcher.com/p/dont-blame...
