Few things to chew about modes of care first- I expect they are common across most rare diseases. 1) patient travel hundreds of km for hours, usual in their own car to get to appointments. 45% leave feeling the consultation does not reflect how they feel

We ran the study in a group of patients with implantable PA pressure monitors. This demonstrated an immediate effect, (meaning imatinib is probably vasodilating contrary to expectations!), and a slow off effect at wash out (the first data of its kind ever!!)

We know imatinib works (the phase 2 study was the last chapter of my thesis 15 yrs ago!) but it didn’t get licensed basically because of side effects (and it came off patent)
