Oh FFS. I identify as they/them. I also recognise how I look and understand when people make a mistake. Most trans and non-binary individuals I know are fine with people asking in good faith. It's genuinely more inclusive to default to neutral initially and doesn't need people getting het up about.

The Pentagon is covering up some US deaths from the Iran War, according to six US officials familiar with internal casualty data, WaPo reports. At least 22 military fatalities and 3 contractors have occurred since the conflict began, more than listed in the Pentagon’s public casualty database.

Yes it is, because otherwise you have already lost to the fascists. There is a pretty famous poem about this. When you start saying trans, disabled , migrants etc rights are acceptable to compromise you are saying they are worth less. That is the exact argument used by fascists throughout history.

We can't really see the other fish much; just it's head, with it's jaws locked around the end of the paddle in the same way that a toddler's eyes lock onto a bag of halloween candy.

It's unfair to name the man but not the fish, so we'll call the head-fish Merwena. She was raised on tales of Jonah & Moby Dick, & longs to be like her literary heroes. She's going to eat this man if it takes all day. He can't paddle forever. Especially with a hole in his head.

The oar-fish (different than an oarfish) is likely named Intercesilly, and seems like someone who's good at sudoku but not parties.
