The winter edition of FICM’s Resident Eye is out! If you’re looking for some light pre-Christmas reading, I wrote a short article on the importance of research in ICM and how intensivists in training can get involved. ficm.ac.uk/resident-eye

Thoroughly enjoyed coaching my first class for Cambridge University’s mixed martial arts team today. Martial arts have had such a positive impact on my life, teaching me so much along the way. It’s a privilege to pass that on to the next generation of martial artists (& help win varsity of course).

A fascinating evening at @selwyn1882.bsky.social listening to Dame Sally Davies discuss the escalating global threat of antimicrobial resistance. Collaboration from governments, industries, clinicians, patients & agriculture is essential to combat this silent pandemic.

Happy LGBTQ+ in STEM day! I’m lucky to work in a very supportive institute, but many aren’t. The stats: - 57% higher risk of burn out in clinical academics - 50% consider leaving due to discrimination - 33% advised not to come out - 10% less students stay in STEM Much still to do! 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

Hi all, I’m late to the intro party. I’m an ICM reg in London & PhD student at Cambridge. My clinical interests centre around immune dysfunction in ARDS, shock, education & EDI. Outside of work I’m a long suffering martial artist & canine enthusiast. I look forward to connecting with y’all!
