This isn't a metaphor. Just a story about a roach. COMIC ◆ www.smbc-comics.com/comic/roach-2 PATREON ◆ www.patreon.com/ZachWeinersm... STORE ◆ smbc-store.myshopify.com

4-panel SMBC comic update. The first panel shows a cartoon little roach happily saying "oh man! The stupid human put food in here. fool!" The next panel shows the roach walking away from a poison trap as he says "I’m gonna give it to everyone!" The third panel shows a human at his computer with a similar expression to that of the cartoon roach. The man says "this stupid company made a controversial ad. How embarrassing for them!" The man then walks away from the computer desk, at an angle reminiscent to the panel where the roach walks away from the poison trap. The man says "better share with all my friends and family so everyone knows which ad not to look at."

The last year I applied for three research grants and six positions. I got three interviews and was the «first runner-up» for all of them. Not even on the shortlist for the other three. Two grants did not go through and if the final one does, the money will go to a university I’m no longer at.

Du er jo sterkere enn all ondskap.

Isn't that just the natural fate of films that play on nostalgia? Once the core audience has arrived, the rest might not want to waste their time on old folks*' fantasies. 😁 (*like me)
