Matt Bomer and Simon Halls have built a life together away from the constant spotlight of Hollywood. More than 20 years together, married since 2011, three sons and a life built around family. Sometimes the strongest love stories are the ones kept closest to home.🏳️‍🌈❤️

We never imagined how far that dream would travel, into homes, into hearts, into the way generations imagined what we could still become. In a world that often feels as divided as ever, maybe that's exactly why we need it now: a reminder that unity was always the point.

Hey guess what?? It’s been FOUR HUMAN YEARS since I came up with the idea for the stabby boys 🫨 those sweet lads changed everything for me. Without them, none of the others would’ve come to be. If you’ve read any of their stories, or anything else I’ve ever written, I’m so grateful 🫶🤺❤️

Question: is there a modern AU Ed/Stede fencing fic? Ed would have to be an epée guy, since he's lanky; Stede ought to be-it's the gentleman's weapon—but maybe he's just now picking up foil to bring some excitement to his humdrum life? Does this exist??

Here's the first of two little things I've made to celebrate 60 years of a television show that became more television shows (plus some movies) and sometimes dropped some nuggets of actual wisdom. Happy #StarTrekDay to all who celebrate. 🖖

A recreation of a classic poster that reads:

All I need to know about life I learned from Star Trek

Below that is an illustration of the original series Enterprise. And below that is a justified list of quotes and aphorisms divided by delta bullet points. The list reads:

• Seek out new life and new civilizations
• Logic is the beginning of wisdom, not the end
• There’s no such thing as a Vulcan death grip
• Even in fear, you can still step forward
• It is possible to commit no mistakes and still lose. That is not a weakness. That is life
• Never trust a planet that looks exactly like Earth
• It’s a long road
• There are four lights!
• The first duty is to the truth
• Go fast!
• When you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains must be the truth
• We are all explorers
• It’s difficult to work in groups when you're omnipotent
• Sometimes, hope is a choice
• Fortune favors the bold
• It’s easy to be a saint in paradise
• Don't believe in no-win scenarios
• We all deserve to belong somewhere
• Keep your shirt tucked in, go down with the ship, and never abandon a member of your crew
• Boldly go where no one has gone before!

Most mornings, Ed wakes up before him. Stede is roused by soft lips, a mustache's pleasant scratch, the warm rumbling chuckle when Stede chases those lips in the blurry space between his dreams and the day's light. Sometimes though, he gets to be the morning bell. 🧡 #ofmd #OurFlagMeansDeath

Drawing of gentlebeard Ed and Stede from Our Flag means Death. Ed is just waking up, still wrapped in covers and shirtless. His hair is down. Stede is sitting next to him, leaning back over his chest so he can give his forehead a smooch. He's wearing a long nightshirt under his yellow robe. Bright sunshine is filtering through the pulled shade in the bed nook. Totally sticky sweet and gross.

Crops of the artist's Our Flag Means Death work of Ed and Stede, and displayed in the pink, red, orange, yellow, green, teal, indigo, and violet order for Pride. More or less. The artist doesn't work with greens often enough and the violet isn't violet-ing. Try not to hold it against her during this holy month.
