Just saw Forgotten Island and it was phenomenal! Beautiful example of the animation medium, brilliant story, great acting, fun music, and a great tour de force of Filipino mythology. The marketing campaign did it dirty, making it look like a generic fantasy adventure. Do NOT sleep on this movie!

A report on the ground from the ICE shooting in Biddeford that should make every parent in this country lose their minds:

Cecelia Humiston, 22, lives on Chapel Street. She was asleep with her two-year-old son when she woke up to the sounds of a commotion on surrounding streets.

When she went to investigate, she saw what appeared to be a person lying on the ground on Pool Street.

She remembers hearing an older woman with a distressed family, yelling, “You took her dad, you took her dad!”

“They were with a little girl, she couldn't have been older than three,” Humiston said. “She was still in her Bluey pajamas.”

Humiston described law enforcement as “rude,” and said they barricaded family’s car from leaving. Another yelled at the little girl, who was trying to smell flowers.

A table from 1970. My mom bought it the same year I was born. It's a simple wooden-legged, particle-board with laminate dinner table, made to look like dark wood. Has an extra leaf you can swap in. My mom gave it to me when I moved out. I still use it daily for games, storage, and drawing.
