I really love how much the sprites in Boltgun 2 (even moreso than the first) look like painted miniatures. There's a soft-shaded matte look to them all. It makes the game feel like playing with intricately painted but still absurd toys.

AI has been falling out of favor and ruining the environment, but I think the biggest downfall is that people don't want to pay for it. Every time a chatbot tries to get people to pay for it, people leave. You don't need a chatbot to survive, and we def don't want to give rich assholes more money
